Contribution to India
As the President of the Constituent Assembly, he was instrumental in shaping the Constitution of India. Serving as the first President from 1950 to 1962, he set the highest standards of integrity for the young Republic.
Contribution to Bihar
He abandoned his legal career to lead the Champaran Satyagraha. He mobilized students by founding the Bihari Students' Conference, and led critical relief efforts during the devastating 1934 Bihar earthquake.

We carry his name to remind every student that greatness begins with a book. This library will serve as a central hub, situated in Ziradei, where people from the panchayat and all nearby areas can come and read.
